Man United could be without three players for their next game against West Ham United.

Man United play West Ham next up, and could climb to third place with a win at Old Trafford on Thursday night. However, Amorim could be without three players in the game due to injuries, with two of them being key striker options: Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

United aren’t the only side dealing with injury concerns, though, as West Ham also have potential absentees. The Hammers could be without three players for their trip to play United, which could be damaging for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

West Ham injury news

West Ham come into the United match with three potential absentees. Firstly, Oliver Scarles will miss the game, as he underwent surgery on his shoulder, expecting to be out of action until the end of 2025. Alongside Scarles, West Ham will also be without goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, who is dealing with a lower back issue.

Man United injury news

In terms of United’s absentees, two players have been ruled out of the game against West Ham. The first is Benjamin Sesko, who continues to recover from his knee injury that he picked up last month. Amorim said last week: “Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. It will take a little bit longer, and we are taking care of him.”

Harry Maguire has also been ruled out with a hamstring issue, and won’t be available to feature against West Ham, meaning that Amorim will have slightly less choice at centre-back. Maguire is expected to be back in a couple of weeks.

Cunha missed the Palace game over the weekend, as he was still dealing with a head injury. He should be back on Thursday as Amorim said before the Palace game: “I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham United], not this one.”

If he does feature against West Ham, he could play as a striker, replacing Sesko, but as Zirkzee did score up front against Palace, Cunha could return to his natural number 10 spot.
