There is a rare midweek Premier League outing for Manchester United this week as the busy Christmas period nears.
United host West Ham United on Thursday night (8pm kick-off) and they go into the game in good spirits. Despite being 1-0 down at half-time, Ruben Amorim’s side came out as 2-1 winners against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
The game against West Ham will now give the team chance to gain momentum and record back-to-back wins. United captain Bruno Fernandes had given United a slight injury scare in the closing stages of the game against Palace, but Amorim has confirmed that he had just been on the end of a kick and should be fine.
The side have also been given another boost ahead of the clash against the Hammers with forward Matheus Cunha providing an update on his injury.

Injury: Knock
The United forward has provided an injury boost to the side by revealing on social media that he is back in training ahead of Thursday’s game. Taking to his Instagram story, he’s shared a picture with a caption reading: “Back Back Back.”
What Amorim has said: “I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham United on Thursday], not this one,” the United boss said ahead of Sunday’s game vs Palace.

Benjamin Sesko
Injury: Knee
The striker was forced off the pitch in the second half of the clash away at Tottenham before the international break.
What Amorim has said: "Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. It will take a little bit longer and we are taking care of him.”

Harry Maguire
Injury: Hamstring
The defender suffered the injury during the 2-2 draw with Tottenham before the international break and has missed the last two Premier League games.
