Manchester United miss out on young midfielder – Were working on admin to finalise signing

Manchester United have missed out on signing Mouhamed Dabo, with him going to NK Kustošija instead.

On Monday, the Croatian club announced on their official Instagram page that they’ve overcome competition from “numerous clubs” to secure the 17-year-old’s services.

Wiw Sport covers that and explains that Manchester United were keen on acquiring Dabo’s signature.

On September 24th, Africa Foot reported the young midfielder had impressed Red Devils staff during a trial at the club. They also reported Manchester United were very close to signing him. The Senegal U18 international is said to have ‘rare qualities’ for his age.

Manchester United’s officials were working on ‘administrative procedures to finalise’ his arrival in England. Kustošija have beating them and several other clubs in the race to sign the talented teenager.

Despite successfully completing a trial with the English club, Dabo has decided to start his European journey in Croatia.

The midfielder played four matches for his country at the U17 World Cup in Qatar in November.
