Paul Merson is expecting Man Utd to secure the three points when they play West Ham on Thursday night.
Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson said that there will be lots of goals in this fixture, but he believes the Red Devils will have enough quality to overcome their opponents:
“It was a great result for Manchester United against Crystal Palace. They never really troubled Palace in the first half and conceded the opening goal. But credit to United, they changed it up in the second half and got the result. Like I said before, I thought they were quite poor in that loss to Everton. This performance was much better in comparison.”

“I’m expecting goals, goals and more goals in this game. I don’t expect West Ham to cause them major problems. Manchester United need some consistency and they will hope this result can spring them in the right direction.”
What score has Merson predicted for Man Utd vs West Ham?
The Sky Sports pundit has gone with a 3-1 win to Ruben Amorim’s team, which is a result that supporters will be happy with.
After losing to ten-man Everton in their last match at home, any sort of victory against the Hammers would be welcomed.

Amorim has stated that he expects to have Matheus Cunha back on Thursday evening. The Brazilian has missed the last two matches versus Everton and Crystal Palace with a head injury that he picked up in training. Benjamin Sesko (knee) and Harry Maguire (hamstring) are still unavailable.
Irons’ boss Nuno Espirito Santo will be without Lucas Paqueta due to suspension after he picked up two yellow cards for dissent against Liverpool. Crysensio Summerville (knock) is a serious doubt, while Lukasz Fabianski (back) and Oli Scarles (shoulder) are not expected to feature.
