The 28-year-old United talent left Old Trafford back in the January transfer window and spent the second half of the last Premier League campaign on loan at Aston Villa.
Rashford’s loan spell with Aston Villa expired back in June and the England international returned to Old Trafford for a brief period in the summer.
Barcelona handed Rashford an opportunity to continue his career away from United and the former Villa forward arrived at the Camp Nou on loan back in July.

Hansi Flick asked if on-loan Man Utd forward Marcus Rashford has surprised him at Barcelona
Marcus Rashford has impressed at Barcelona under manager Hansi Flick and the Manchester United forward has been able to secure regular playing time this season.

The Three Lions forward has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona and Rashford has netted six times and registered nine assists so far.
Rashford has started in nine of his 13 La Liga matches in the current campaign and has become a key player for Flick in Barcelona’s championship defence.

Speaking to Prime Video Sport, Flick revealed that he has not been ‘surprised’ by Rashford’s ‘impact’ at Barcelona after witnessing his “quality” at United.
“No, no,” he said.
“Because I followed him for many years, I saw his potential and I was always convinced about that, that he could give us that quality, and he did it.”

Rashford lost his place in the United XI under Ruben Amorim and is no longer part of the 40-year-old former Sporting CP head coach’s plans at Old Trafford.
The Barcelona summer signing inked his last deal with United in 2023 and Rashford is under contract with the Premier League club until 2028.
The defending La Liga champions are covering Rashford’s hefty United wages during his loan, with the England ace taking a pay cut to make his move in the first place.
However, Barcelona have the option to make Rashford’s stay at the Camp Nou permanent in 2026, with United including a £30.3m buy clause in the loan deal.
