Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will hope to see his side build on their win over Crystal Palace when they face West Ham United on Thursday evening.
The Red Devils came from behind to beat the Eagles at Selhurst Park on Sunday, and Amorim will expect to see his team get the better of the Hammers when they welcome Nuno Esperito Santo’s side to Old Trafford.
In the meantime, it has emerged that United are hoping to sign an England international next year.
As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes via CaughtOffside, Manchester United are plotting a substantial offer to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.
The report claims that the Manchester outfit are preparing to make an offer of around £70 million for the Englishman, who was included in Thomas Tuchel’s latest Three Lions squad for their final two World Cup qualifiers.
Wharton, 21, has enjoyed a meteoric rise since joining Palace from boyhood club Blackburn Rovers back at the start of 2024.

His impressive form for the Eagles during his first six months with the club earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the European Championships last summer, and he has continued to impress this season.
In total the central midfielder has now made more than 60 appearances for the South London side, but his impressive performances have attracted significant interest from elsewhere.
The report suggests that the opportunity to join one of England’s biggest clubs could prove tempting for Wharton, who is under contract at Selhurst Park until the end of the 2028/29 season.
While United are expected to table an opening offer in the region of £70 million, the report claims that Crystal Palace value the midfielder at around £80-100 million.
