Manchester United’s early offer for Olympiacos youngster Christos Mouzakitis is considered low by the Greek club.
That’s according to Sport Time. They report that Olympiacos are in no rush to sell the midfielder, despite his growing list of admirers.
Sport Time state that Mouzakitis has put the spotlight on himself thanks to his performances. He is seen as a complete package, despite his youth, and that’s making waves with the big teams in Europe.
Mouzakitis is liked and liked a lot. Manchester United are one of those keen on him. But their initial offer of €28m is considered low by Olympiacos’ standards. Real Madrid have made a slightly higher amount.
That both sides have made offers has propelled them headlong into the race. Olympiacos will find it difficult to do any deal at the prices being quoted, though.
They would like an amount close to €40m if the midfielder is to leave in January. neither Manchester United nor Real Madrid have offered that yet or got close to it.
If the offers don’t rise above €30m, Olympiacos won’t even sit at the negotiating table. It’s up to Manchester United to increase their bid and make it happen.
