West Ham are hoping to have Ollie Scarles back available for the Manchester City match on December 20th, according to reports.
The fullback has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on a fractured collarbone, but speaking ahead of the match against Manchester United, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo said that he is back out on the grass:
“Ollie has started training without contact. He’s not back in full training just yet, but he’s been involved in many parts of the sessions.”

Hammers News claims it could be another two weeks before Scarles is back in contention for games.
How many matches will Scarles end up missing?
The 19-year-old has been out since being taken off during the 2-1 defeat to Leeds in October. He has missed the last four Premier League fixtures.
If his return date is accurate, it means Scarles could be out for a further three games – Man United (on Thursday night), Brighton (on Sunday) and Aston Villa (December 14th).
Other West Ham injury news
In addition to Scarles, there are two other senior players currently unavailable. Crysencio Summerville remains on the treatment table, with Nuno confirming reports that the Man United fixture will come too soon for the Dutchman.
The winger has been sidelined since the last international break with what was initially described as a minor knock, but it is clearly a much more serious issue than first thought.
It is looking more reminiscent of what happened to Summerville last season, when he missed the second half of the campaign with a serious hamstring injury.
In addition to Summerville, Lukasz Fabianski is also still on the sidelines with a back problem. The Polish keeper rejoined the Irons on a free transfer in September following Wes Foderingham’s departure.
