**West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has been receiving a lot of criticism from his own fans as of late.**
Since arriving in East London in 2020, Jarrod Bowen has been Mr consistent for West Ham, you can probably count on two hands the number of ‘poor’ games he’s had for the club in almost six years. I don’t think there have ever been any calls to drop the Englishman.
But to be fair, a couple of the have been in the last two matches, he’s really struggled to impact matches as of late. Not only that, the way he dealt with Paqueta’s head loss against Liverpool as captain was poor.
With his poor from and lack of leadership, there have been calls from Hammers fans to drop Jarrod Bowen. I’d get the calls to drop him if we had any sort of alternative, but we don’t. With Summerville injured, other than Bowen, the only winger we have fit is Luis Guilherme and he has to play on the left.
So, if we were to drop Bowen we would have to bring in someone out of position – Kyle Walker-Peters, George Earthy or Callum Marshall. These options just aren’t good enough and will be significantly worse than an off form Bowen.
Jarrod Bowen simply has to start this match, any shout of dropping him are absolutely crazy. If you’d bet on any player off form to suddenly turn up and have a great game it would be Jarrod, lets hope he can do that at Old Trafford this evening.
