Ruben Amorim confirmed that the 26-year-old Brazilian forward had picked up a knock in training ahead of United’s shock 1-0 defeat to 10-man Everton last week.

Cunha missed the Everton match at Old Trafford and the former Wolves ace was also absent for United’s 2-1 comeback win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Despite missing United’s fixture over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Amorim has since revealed that Cunha has returned after he overcame his injury setback.
