Manchester United’s injury doubts ahead of West Ham clash

Manchester United have a few injury doubts going into this evenings clash against West Ham United.

The Red Devils have had an up and down season so far with some excellent wins along with the lacklustre performances we’ve become used to from the once great club.

Their last two matches sum this up perfectly, the Reds are coming off the back of an excellent away with against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, but a week before that they lost 1-0 at home to a 10-man Everton. Lets hope for more of that this evening.

Something that might help Nuno get the win over Amorim’s side is their injuries. Speaking ahead of the West Ham clash, Amorim revealed: “We have two doubts for the game, it will change the way we’re going to approach it, let’s see if they can play. The rest of the squad is good.

Harry Maguire and Benjamin Sesko are definitely out of the match. Maguire won’t be a huge miss as de Ligt and Yoro have both been pretty good this season. While Sesko hasn’t really got firing for United yet, he’s certainly a better option than Joshua Zirkzee. Also, like we saw with Isak on Sunday, someone that hasn’t scored much will always score against the Hammers.

A big blow for West Ham is that Matheus Cunha has been deemed fit for the match after missing the last three matches through injury. While his stats don’t exactly back it up, the Brazilian has been quality for United so far and having him back will be a huge boost.

As for West Ham, we’re missing Ollie Scarles and Crysencio Summerville through injury and Lucas Paqueta through suspension yet again. The latter two will be the biggest misses of the match, Summerville especially. His pace and trickery would have been very important on the counterattack.

Even if everyone was fit, I wouldn’t expect a classic at Old Trafford tonight.
