8/10 West Ham duo impress in draw vs Man Utd: Player ratings and match highlights [view]

Manchester United's let a lead slip to draw 1-1 at home with West Ham. Any confidence gained from their win at Crystal Palace wasn't evident in Manchester United's early first-half performance. Yet it was still the home side who looked the more likely to break the deadlock. Joshua Zirkzee saw his effort cleared off the line by former United player Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

United took the lead in the second half through an unlikely scorer. Diogo Dalot snuck into the box unmarked for his first Premier League goal at Old Trafford. The goal did little to open the game up or improve its quality. West Ham dug deep and found their way back into the game with seven minutes left, with Soungoutou Magassa guiding home from seven yards after a corner. From then on, West Ham looked the more likely winner, with the Hammers gaining a valuable point.

Manchester United Player Ratings

MixCollage-04-Dec-2025-08-16-PM-5296

GK: Senne Lammens - 6/10

Very rarely called into action, so it is difficult to give the keeper a meaningful rating.

RB: Noussair Mazraoui - 5/10

A little careless with the ball at times, which hampered United as they looked to transition.

CB: Ayden Heaven - 5/10

Went into the book early on and struggled somewhat from then on. Being brought off at half-time will do little for his confidence.

LB: Luke Shaw - 6/10

Looked a little ill at ease playing on the left of a back three, but remained professional.

RWB: Amad Diallo - 6/10

Still doesn't truly look like a wing-back, more like a winger who is asked to track back.

CM: Casemiro - 5/10

Once again, the Brazilian looked leggy and unable to get about the pitch. On this viewing, it's surprising he starts so many games.

CM: Bruno Fernandes - 5.5/10

Looked very much in the mood to make something happen for United early on, but quickly faded.

LWB: Diogo Dalot - 6/10

Didn't really dominate the flank in the way you would expect a United player at Old Trafford, but showed good poise to put United a goal up.

AM: Bryan Mbeumo - 6.5/10

Looked like the most likely scorer for Manchester United, but after the 20-minute mark was starved of any real service.

AM: Matheus Cunha - 5/10

Really not in the game at all, which was telling, as without his creativity and energy, United looked really quite flat

CF: Joshua Zirkzee - 7/10

Unfortunate not to give United the lead, with his effort cleared off of the line. Looked to get involved and worked hard with this continued run in the side.

SUB: Leny Yoro - 6/10

Slotted in well at the back as United looked to gain a further important victory.

SUB: Patrick Dorgu - 6/10

Gave United fresh legs, even if he didn't set the house on fire with his performance.

SUB: Mason Mount - 5/10

Didn't play long enough to make a meaningful contribution.

SUB: Manuel Ugarte - 5/10

Not able to do enough to suggest a future place in the starting line-up.

SUB: Lisandro Martínez - N/A

Given a late run-out.

West Ham United Player Ratings

Callum WilsonGK: Alphonse Areola - 6.5/10

Had to be on his toes, making a brace of sharp saves in the first half.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 8/10

Looked very solid on his return to his former club. Showed his strength in one-versus-one duels down the flank for the Hammers and was alert enough to clear off his goal line from Zirkzee.

CB: Konstantinos Mavropanos - 6.5/10

Had to remain disciplined throughout, as West Ham dared to perhaps get a winner.

CB: Jean-Clair Todibo - 7/10

Played well and looked composed and would no doubt have been very frustrated when the home side took the lead.

LB: El Hadji Malick Diouf - 6.5/10

Went into the book early, which looked to make him a marked man, but he picked up and worked hard.

DM: Freddie Potts - 8/10

Really bright and enthusiastic, throwing himself into tackles and making interceptions in what was a great performance.

DM: Soungoutou Magassa - 6.5/10

Went about his business in a no-nonsense fashion as West Ham looked to get a result and was on the spot to get the equaliser.

RM: Tomas Soucek - 6.5/10

Used his strength and the Hammers needed his experience as they tried in vain to get an equaliser.

LM: Mateus Fernandes - 5/10

Not really able to stamp his mark on the game as West Ham began to fade as the game went on.

AM: Jarrod Bowen - 6/10

The Englishman is struggling to show his very best because they simply can't get the ball forward enough.

CF: Callum Wilson - 6/10

Mostly starved of any real opportunity as he plowed a lone furrow up front.

SUB: Andy Irving - 6/10

Had an impact, coming on right before the Hammers' equalier.

SUB: Mohamadou Kante - 6/10

Came on with Irving, right before the visiting side's leveler.

SUB: Max Kilman - N/A

Introduced too late to make any impression.
