Diogo Dalot impressed but Manchester United's substitutes struggled as they drew 1-1 with West Ham in the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim made three changes to his starting line up with Ayden Heaven handed his first start of the season in place of the injured Matthijs De Ligt.
United almost took the lead in a quiet first-half when Joshua Zirkzee saw an effort cleared off the line by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Bruno Fernandes volleyed agonisingly wide from the rebound. Leny Yoro replaced Heaven at half-time after a shaky first start of the Premier League season.
Dalot gave United the lead on the hour mark when a deflected effort fell to him inside the box and he expertly fired past the helpless Alphonse Areola. United were the better side after the goal but still found it difficult to create clear opportunities on what was a rather frustrating night.
They were punished in the closing stages when West Ham equalised from a rare attack as Soungoutou Magassa fired in a rebound from a corner.
Here is how we rated the United players at Old Trafford.

A nervous start. His positioning was poor and he picked up a clumsy yellow card. Got better as the half went on but was hooked at half-time.
