Roy Keane has accused Manchester United of being 'frightened' to make the most of opportunities and kill off games in a heavily critical assessment of the side's performance following a lacklustre draw against West Ham.
Manchester United failed to make the most of a knife-edged Premier League table on Thursday evening, squandering a single-goal lead to relegation-threatened West Ham late on.
And Keane aired his frustrations about his former side being unable to make the most of their opportunities after the game.
The 54-year-old said: 'After getting the goal against a team who are in the bottom three and probably lacking confidence. And United just took their foot off the gas. They made some substitutions, everyone at Old Trafford gets a standing ovation. It was a bit silly, you're 1-0 up.
'Not to take that away from West Ham. They stuck in, stayed in the fight. They just about deserved the equaliser.
'Now United with the last two home games have scored just one goal. They're just putting themselves under pressure. Every time I watch this United team they just disappoint me. They weren't clinical, they weren't nasty enough to get the job done.

'Every time I watch this United team they just disappoint me - they weren't clinical,' Keane said
'If they'd won they'd have gone fifth. There'll be a lot of frustration again tonight. When they went a goal in front they had a chance to show their quality.
'I think the standard of United's play in the last three or four games has been desperate. Really, really poor. Again tonight they seemed frightened to get the job done. Frightened to go up to fifth.
'My goodness, we're talking about fifth here by the way, not the top of the league. Same old problems.'
Gary Neville joined in his former team-mates criticisms of Ruben Amorim's side, highlighting their disappointing home record this season, where they have dropped five points in their last two games at Old Trafford.
'There's real frustration that they keep having these opportunities - one point from six against Everton and West Ham at home. You can see the disappointment on the faces of the Manchester United players,' Neville said.
'But they haven't played well enough, they've let games drift. There's not anywhere enough urgency in the game. (Diogo) Dalot will be disappointed not being abe to see out a winning goal.
'You can see some disappointed faces there of Omar Berrada, the CEO, Jason Wilcox the sporting director. They know it's not good enough.'
