Aaron Wan-Bissaka haunted Man United as 100% stat poses uncomfortable question to Ineos

Manchester United dropped two priceless points against West Ham and former Red Devils star Aaron Wan-Bissaka ran the show at Old Trafford.

Diogo Dalot scored his first goal of the season to break the deadlock at Old Trafford, but a late equaliser from Soungoutou Magassa meant Manchester United drew 1-1 with West Ham.

Ruben Amorim was “furious” at the lack of urgency shown by his players after taking the lead against West Ham.

Ineos may have Aaron Wan-Bissaka regret

United only earned £15m from Wan-Bissaka’s sale. In hindsight, it was a hugely undervalued exit.

Ineos decided to sanction Wan-Bissaka’s sale because Erik ten Hag wanted to refresh his defensive options.

Noussair Mazraoui was brought in from Bayern Munich as his replacement, and he now finds himself playing as a right-sided centre-back in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.

Wan-Bissaka would have suited Amorim’s system if he had stayed at United, and that right-sided centre-back spot would have leaned on his best attributes.

His 100% dribbling success rate against United also suggests he could have slotted in as a wing-back under Amorim.
