Nottingham Forest in contact for 19-year-old – Manchester United may have something to say

Earlier this week, Calciomercato reported on Manchester United interest in Atalanta talent Sergej Levak. Nottingham Forest are now also monitoring the midfielder.

Tuttomercatoweb report the 19-year-old is attracting a lot of interest from clubs across Europe.

He joined Atalanta’s U23s setup in the summer, after seeing his contract at AS Roma expire. Genoa, Parma, Juventus and Inter Milan also tried to sign him but joining the Bergamo club is proving to be the right decision.

Nottingham Forest have ‘asked for information’ about the teenager, who is compared to Nemanja Matic by the report. His technique on the ball and physicality is believed to be similar to the Serbian.

He’s scored three times for Atalanta U23s so far this season. Considerations are now being made about whether he can efficiently operate for the first-team too. At the same, there could also be a possibility of a sale in January.

Nottingham Forest’s interest is said to be at an early stage but it does feel like the hype around Levak could grow, especially with Manchester United links. This is largely because he has been showcasing his abilities consistently.

He had also sparkled for Roma’s Primavera side last season, contributing to 11 goals in 34 games. For their U18s, he had scored nine times in the 2023/24 campaign.

Levak is quite versatile as a midfielder too, having played in defensive midfield and also in attacking midfield.
