Manchester United have submitted an offer to sign Real Betis forward Cucho Hernandez next year, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.
The Old Trafford side are reportedly keen on landing the 26-year-old striker as part of the ongoing squad rebuild under Ruben Amorim, which saw three forwards arrive during the summer transfer window.
United splashed out on the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, but concerns remain heading into the winter market.
Sesko has been sidelined with an injury since early November, while Mbeumo is set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, which could see the Cameroonian absent for a month.

According to Fichajes, Man United have reportedly tested Real Betis’ resolve with an initial €30m (£26m) bid for Hernandez.
The Red Devils are believed to be admirers of the Colombia international, who only joined Betis in February from MLS side Columbus Crew.
Hernandez has made 32 appearances for the La Liga club since, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists. He enjoyed an impressive run in September, netting in four consecutive league games.
The 26-year-old joined Betis after a standout 2024 season in the MLS, where he scored 19 goals in 27 appearances, finishing fifth in the goalscoring charts.
Hernandez, praised as a 'superstar', also has previous Premier League experience with Watford, making 25 appearances and scoring five times during the 2021/22 campaign – the club’s last season in the top flight.

Man United are expected to prioritise midfield reinforcements next year to rejuvenate Amorim’s options in the middle of the park.
The Portuguese tactician has heavily relied on the Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro pairing so far this season, with the duo starting 12 of the 14 league games to date.
A Premier League-proven midfielder is likely to be top of the agenda, with Brighton’s Carlos Baleba and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson among the targets.
United pursued Baleba during the summer window but were ultimately priced out, with Brighton reportedly demanding a fee around £120m.

A move for another forward could also prove useful next year, given United’s lacklustre attacking form in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have scored just three times in their last three games, with only bottom-placed Wolves and Burnley registering fewer goals over the same period.
