'What a player'... Former Man Utd winger responds to Aaron Wan-Bissaka's message after 1-1 draw at Old Trafford

Manchester United received a blast from the recent past when Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to Old Trafford.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now undefeated in three matches against Manchester United since his exit in 2024.

After two wins, he had to settle for a draw at Old Trafford this past week, but he did everything he could to ensure that United did not leave with all three points.

Wan-Bissaka’s rangy tackles got West Ham out of trouble on a couple of occasions, while his finest moment was when he cleared a Joshua Zirkzee effort off the line.

Manchester United had to settle for a 1-1 draw, with Diogo Dalot’s second half goal cancelled out by a late equaliser.

“The challenge was reckless and because he slides in from behind, this is a simple second yellow card and a one which should then have been punished with a red card.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka got away with just a yellow card

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was a little fortunate not to have been sent off after continuing to slide around while on a yellow card.

Wan-Bissaka wiped out Patrick Dorgu late in the game and failed to get the ball. Former referee Mark Clattenburg described the challenge as ‘reckless’, and said that the defender should have been sent off.

Manchester United cannot stew too much on the poor result, or the refereeing decision that went against the team.

That’s because there is another game on Monday night, up against another team in the relegation zone.

Wolves have only gained two points this season – but it’s hard to feel too confident after watching the team over the past few games.
