The performances of West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo have improved significantly in recent weeks.
He had another assured game during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Thursday night.
Supporters on X were quick to praise Todibo, who had struggled to find his best form during his first twelve months at the London Stadium:

He’s now playing the way I expected of him when he signed. Great pace, and love how good he’s becoming. The mystery is what was holding him back before? What were all those 70 minute appearances about?

It's clear that he obviously needed regular game time and a decent manager

Todibo has a manager who likes to defend
It is fair to say the Frenchman did not gel with either Julen Lopetegui or Graham Potter, and that was partly down to their inability to organise a backline.
Nuno Espirito Santo, in contrast, knows how to get the most out of centre-backs. The likes of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic thrived under him at Nottingham Forest, and Todibo is now reaping the benefits himself.
