It's known as one of the most glamorous (and wildest) events on the social calendar, with a host of famous fashionstas in attendance. And this year's annual Julie Perry Events Christmas lunch did not disappoint.

A host of famous faces, fashionistas and the well-heeled Cheshire Set descended on The Edwardian hotel in Manchester for an afternoon of raucous celebrations that many guests hail "the start of the festive season" and "event of the year". Among the famous footballers' wives in attendance were , Alex Gerrard, Sheree Murphy, Kaya Jones, Nermina Pieters-Mekic and Danielle Gibson.

And not even a foot injury (sustained at husband Wayne Rooney's raucous 40th birthday bash) could stop Coleen wowing in the glamour stakes. She arrived with one YSL heel on one foot while her other was strapped into an orthopoedic boot, discretely hidden behind her long pencil skirt, teamed with a bardo top.

She was joined by family and friends including glam mum Collette for the festive turkey dinner at the hotel, which was followed by flamboyant entertainment that got everyone singing and dancing along.

Alex Gerrard, wife of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, wowed in a sheer lace top as she joined pals including former Emmerdale star Sherree - and the duo were spotted dancing along to the entertainment.

Charlotte Dawson headed to the party in a chic pink Nadine Merabi suit dress, as she joined pals including socialite Jude Cisse and Nip Tuck podcast stars Ashley Stobart and Lauren Elizabeth Adamson. She hailed the do the "event of the year" on instagram.

The party, sponsored by Maison 49, also helped to raise funds for charity on the day, with DJ Darren Proctor hosting a charity auction in aid of homeless charity Coffee4Craig.

Event-organiser-to-the-stars Julie said that it has become her most in demand event of the year - with a waiting list now in place of people who want to attend. "This event is always such a special moment in our year. Bringing together friends, clients and partners to celebrate the start of the festive season is something I look forward to every December. It’s a joy for my team and I to create an experience that captures the spirit, glamour and connection that Julie Perry Events stands for.”
