Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville could not believe what he was watching as Leeds United mounted a stirring comeback against Liverpool.
Daniel Farke rounded off a remarkable week with another statement performance, as his substitution helped change a thrilling game against Liverpool.
Leeds United looked dead and buried after a quickfire double from Hugo Ekitike appeared to have set Farke’s side on course for a damaging defeat.
However, Farke switched back to his trusty 4-3-3, and it changed the game, as a penalty from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and a goal from Anton Stach pulled Leeds level.
A Dominic Szoboszlai goal looked to have broken Leeds’ hearts after their rousing comeback before Ao Tanaka scored the most dramatic of goals to equalise. Neville could not believe his eyes in a remarkable game.

Neville said: “Absolutely amazing. Leeds have turned into Real Madrid inside five minutes.
“The little one-two between Gnonto and Aaronson is beautiful, and then they play it into Stach. Konate’s decided to drop off.
“That’s really poor from Curtis Jones, just lets him walk inside him,” before concluding, “Daniel Farke, wow! What a week.”

Daniel Farke rewarded for brave Leeds United decision
If a week is a long time in politics, it is a lifetime in football, and Daniel Farke could be forgiven for wondering what has just happened.
There is a certain irony in the fact that it was switching back to his much-maligned 4-3-3 that delivered a late draw for Leeds, as Farke took another step towards securing his future at Elland Road.

Willy Gnonto added a new dynamism on the left for Leeds after being replaced and Ao Tanaka provided the guile that Leeds lacked in midfield in a turgid first half.
Four points from Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool was beyond the wildest dreams of most Leeds fans at the start of the week. But with 15 points from 15 games, and sitting in 16th place, Farke’s side are now firmly back on track.
