Diogo Dalot impressed for United last Thursday and the 26-year-old Portuguese full-back made an impact in the second half after he broke the deadlock for his side.
However, United’s lead over West Ham fell apart in the late stages of the Premier League contest after Soungoutou Magassa netted an equaliser for the Hammers.
Ruben Amorim watched on from the Old Trafford dugout as the Red Devils were unable to re-establish their advantage over West Ham before the full-time whistle.

Dalot has insisted that the United first-team players must tap into their internal “anger” and bring that out in their performances against opposition teams.
“Sometimes it’s not football qualities,” he said, as per BBC Sport.
“We have shown this season that we can be a very good team, but we need to get into ourselves.

Diogo Dalot makes a powerful ‘obsession’ point about Man Utd ahead of the Wolves match
Dalot has been criticised by Ruben Amorim and the 26-year-old Portuguese full-back has been urged to show that he is fully capable of playing as a wing-back.
The Portugal international has been used as an inverted wing-back in the 2025-26 campaign under Amorim and Dalot has been inconsistent for the Red Devils.
Dalot insisted that his United teammates must show their desire to play for the Premier League club and to win both matches and trophies at the Red Devils.

“We need to become a bit more obsessed about playing for this club, winning games and winning trophies,” he added.
“I’m not going to get into the ‘We need time’ thing. We have to win straight away because that’s what the club demands.
“That’s why it hurts sometimes even more when we have opportunities like this and we don’t win.”
Dalot has played in 13 matches across all competitions for United in the 2025-26 season and the Portugal defender has netted once and picked up one assist as well.
