Man Utd have confirmed the exit ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolves.
Jonny Evans has stepped down from his role as head of loans and pathways after just six months in the role. The 37-year-old former defender was handed the role after his playing career came to an end in the summer.
Manchester World understand Evans has decided he wants to take the opportunity to spend more time with his family. He is set to take some time off before he decides the next step in his post-playing career.
It is understood the departure is an 'amicable' decision between all parties and he leaves with the best wishes of the club. Evans was tasked with deciding which players were ready for loan departures, which clubs they would be best-suited to join and keeping track of their development while they were away.

What Evans said when he took the role
Jonny Evans retired at the end of last season after an illustrious career that was bookended with two spells at Manchester United. The former Northern Ireland international made 241 appearances for the club, where he won the Champions League, three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups. He made 536 appearances in total for five clubs.
Speaking after he was hired in the summer, Evans said: “I am looking forward to working with the next generation of talented players to support them to reach their potential. Having had experience of loans myself, I know the crucial role that they can play within a player’s development. I am excited to help further develop the pathway to our first team and continue the legacy of young players thriving at Manchester United.”
Speaking after Evans’ appointment, Jason Wilcox said: “Having just finished his exceptional playing career, Jonny is the perfect role model for our young players.
“Jonny’s knowledge of what it takes to succeed at Manchester United will be of great benefit to each of them as we continue to develop world-class talent capable of performing in our first team.”
