Mbeumo extends magnificent Molineux record
United’s top scorer this season, Mbeumo, boasts a remarkable record vs Wolves from his time at Brentford.
Despite a fairly underwhelming first-half performance, including a sloppy yellow card, Mbeumo extended his goal record by finding the back of the net at Molineux again.

Kobbie Mainoo finally gets his chance
Kobbie Mainoo’s lack of game time this season has been a hot topic in recent weeks, and Amorim has faced relentless questions about why the 20-year-old has not been playing.

Against Wolves, the Carrington graduate finally got a chance to impress, coming on for the final 20 minutes. He was welcomed by a huge cheer from the travelling United fans, who finally got what they’ve been asking for.
However, it was still considered too soon for fellow academy star Shea Lacey, who patiently awaits his senior debut.
Bruno Fernandes ends goal drought
Fernandes last scored for United in the 2-1 win over Chelsea back in September. Since then, he went nine games without a goal.
Playing in a deeper role has clearly impacted Fernandes’ output in the final third, but he found the back of the net twice at Molineux and also grew his assist tally.
He now has four goals and six assists in the Premier League this season.
Ayden Heaven bounces back
Last time out, Ayden Heaven started against West Ham but was taken off by Amorim after just 45 minutes.
The Carrington graduate picked up an early yellow card and was taken off to avoid risking a sending off.
At Molineux, Amorim kept faith in the 19-year-old to start in the heart of defence, and he was flawless both in and out of possession. Matthijs de Ligt is a huge miss for United, but his absence has provided a platform for Heaven.
Ruben Amorim’s half-time impact
This season, United have struggled in the second half of matches, but Amorim is starting to change the narrative.
In the win against Crystal Palace, Amorim was able to spark a second-half comeback from his players at Selhurst Park, and he had a similar effect at Molineux.
Wolves scored seconds before the break which gave them momentum heading into the second half, but it was United who came out and took control of the game.
There has been plenty of criticism of Amorim’s in-game decisions this season, but he got it right here.
