Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has now opened up on his key interaction with his players during the 4-1 thrashing of Wolves at the Molineux on Monday.

The Red Devils took the lead in the first half through Bruno Fernandes before Wolves hit back ahead of half-time through Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s equaliser.

Manchester United hit back at Wolves early in the second half after Bryan Mbeumo netted for the Red Devils and Ruben Amorim’s men took full control of the tie.

Mason Mount scored for United in the 62nd minute of the Premier League clash before Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty to complete his brace on the night.

Wolves were unable to rally back against United in the second half and United manager Amorim was able to see the Red Devils return to winning ways.

Manchester United squandered their chances in a scrappy first-half display and could have extended their lead over Wolves in Monday evening’s clash at the Molineux.

Wolves have been in woeful form in the 2025-26 Premier League campaign, but Rob Edwards’ men offered a real scare with their first-half injury-time equaliser.

Speaking after United’s 4-1 drubbing of Wolves, Ruben Amorim insisted that his message to the Red Devils players at half-time was not a tactical-based one.

Instead, the 40-year-old Portuguese coach said that his team talk was clear on the fact that United must not drop Premier League points at the Molineux.

“It wasn’t tactical,” Amorim explained, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“It was so clear we are dominating the games but not finishing the plays as we should do.

“We need to be better in the details. [I was] trying to explain to the players we have 45 minutes to win the three points that are crucial for our life.”

“I’m feeling good,” he said.

“I think we played well, most of the time. I think we disconnected a little bit after the first goal, that hurt us.

“But in the second half, everyone felt we were there to win the game and that was a good feeling.”

United will now return to Old Trafford on Monday evening next week for their next Premier League clash against Bournemouth, with kick-off slated for 8pm UK time.
