Luke Littler sends message after first Man Utd away game, Bruno Fernandes responds

Darts sensation and passionate Manchester United fan Luke Littler embarked on his first-ever away game on Monday night to see Ruben Amorim’s side take three points from Molineux.

There is no denying it was a must-win game for Manchester United on Monday, especially after dropping points to West Ham the previous weekend.

United beat Wolves 4-1 after surviving a scare against the team sitting at the bottom of the Premier League. The win moves Ruben Amorim’s side up to sixth in the standings, with the prospect of sitting in the top four for the New Year now a possibility.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring with a hilarious goal before Jean-Ricner Bellegarde scored an equaliser before half-time to give Wolves a lifeline.

The Red Devils kicked on in the second half to win the match 4-1, thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Mason Mount and Fernandes.

A strong performance in the second half saved Amorim’s chances of ending the year on a high.

While getting tickets to home matches is easily achievable, season ticket holders face a challenge in getting success in ballots for games on the road.

That didn’t stop Littler on Monday night as he enjoyed his first-ever United away game. It was the third time Amorim’s side had won away from home this season, following victories at Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

Littler was spotted in the crowd at Molineux after Tottenham midfielder James Maddison revealed on Sky Sports that the young sensation had texted him to say he’d be among the United fans at Wolves.

After the trip to the Black County, Littler took to X, where he reflected on a memorable night with fellow United fans.

Littler wrote: “First away day. What a result, chill for a few days now, then onto the world championship Thursday.”

United captain Fernandes was quick to respond to Littler’s post with a bullseye emoji to show accuracy.

When is Man Utd’s next away match?

United have a chance to build on their three away wins this season when they travel to Aston Villa on Sunday, 21 December.

The 16:30 kick-off at Villa Park will be another big test for Amorim’s side as Unai Emery’s side are sitting third in the Premier League – five points clear of United.

Bournemouth visit Old Trafford next Monday, which is the hurdle United need to get over before preparing to face Villa. A win could see the Red Devils move up the table again.
