Tottenham and England midfielder James Maddison was left in awe at the stunning exploits of one Manchester United star in the Wolves match on Monday evening.

Wolves hosted Manchester United at the Molineux and the Red Devils chalked up three Premier League points after inflicting a 4-1 drubbing on Rob Edwards’ men.
However, United’s second-half performance against Wolves was more one-sided than the first half, with the Red Devils level at 1-1 at half-time on Monday evening.
Bruno Fernandes had opened the scoring for United in the 25th minute before Jean-Ricner Bellegarde netted Wolves’ first-half injury-time equaliser at the Molineux.

Following Bruno Fernandes’ opener in the first half, the 31-year-old Manchester United captain would pick up an assist after he set up Mason Mount after the break.

Bryan Mbeumo restored United’s lead over Wolves early in the second half before Mason Mount made his impact with a side-footed volley from close range.
Fernandes signed off his stunning display on Monday evening after the Portuguese midfielder stepped up and converted from the spot-kick in the 82nd minute.

Speaking on Sky Sports, James Maddison singled out Fernandes and highlighted a key “quality” that he thinks is “underrated” in the Portugal international’s arsenal.
“Well, Bruno was at the heart of everything,” he said.
“Bruno is just such a top player; I actually think Bruno doesn’t have a massive part in that goal, he still has the ball in the build-up.
“But the other goals as well, I think he’s actually probably underrated to many, Bruno, and I know he gets a lot of plaudits anyway, but I still think he is kind of underrated for the quality that he shows consistently.”

Ruben Amorim talks about the importance of what Man Utd did during the 4-1 win over Wolves
Speaking after the result at the Molineux on Monday evening, Ruben Amorim was full of praise for how United re-established their control of the match after the break.
“It’s really good that [fight in the second half], but we need to be concerned about how we concede a goal when we have full control of the game,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“We are so near to score a second goal to kill, a little bit, the game. But I’m pleased with the response after half-time.”
United are now sixth in the Premier League after their 4-1 win, while Wolves are bottom of the table and have only secured two points in the 2025-26 campaign.
