Darts star and Manchester United supporter Luke Littler was gifted his ticket for the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers by Adidas, MEN Sport understands. The 18-year-old was picked out in the away end at Molineux by the Sky Sports cameras after Monday Night Football guest James Maddison revealed the teenager had told him he would be in attendance.
Littler was spotted next to the club's director of fan engagement Rick McGagh in the away section leading to some frustration among sections of the fanbase that the PDC world champion was receiving preferential treatment. However, it is understood that German sports manufacturer Adidas, who are tied into a 10-year partnership with the Reds worth £900m, gifted the ticket to Littler.
Adidas receives four tickets for every away game through their partnership with United. In total, a small section of the away allocation, believed to be in the low double digits, are given to commercial partners of the club.
United sources say the vast majority of supporters attending away matches are either season ticket holders or executive club members. Most fans seemed happy to see darts star Littler in the away end.
United captain Bruno Fernandes, who scored twice in United’s biggest win of the season, replied to Littler’s tweet about enjoying his “first away day” with a darts emoji.
Littler and his fellow United fans were treated to a brilliant away trip as the Reds eased to a 4-1 victory against their lowly opponents. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 25th minute as he scrambled the ball past Sam Johnstone despite losing his footing.

On the stroke of half-time, Wolves scored their first goal since October to level the game when Jean-Ricner Bellegarde fired into the bottom corner. Any United concerns were put to bed early in the second half as Bryan Mbeumo slotted into an open goal after Diogo Dalot broke the offside trap six minutes after the interval.
Mason Mount then fired home from close range to end the game as a contest. Fernandes bagged his second of the game from the penalty spot to seal the three points. The victory moves United up to sixth in the Premier League, just one point outside the top four.
