Mohamed Salah has been presented with an offer from Piers Morgan that will leave Liverpool bosses feeling increasingly uneasy. The Egyptian forward claimed he had been "thrown under a bus" and revealed he has no relationship with head coach Arne Slot after being left on the bench again against Leeds on Saturday.
Following his explosive remarks, Liverpool pulled him from the squad for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Inter Milan. There's a genuine chance Salah may have featured in his final match for the Reds, with Saudi Pro League clubs keeping tabs on developments ahead of the January window.
With relations between the club and player hanging by a thread, broadcaster Morgan has extended an invitation to Salah. Morgan's notorious sit-down with Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the Portuguese icon's fate during his second stint at Manchester United.
Responding to Salah's damning comments, Morgan posted on X: "Wow... maybe time for an interview @MoSalah?"
Back in November 2022, Ronaldo delivered a bombshell interview to Morgan where he slated the Glazers' ownership, slammed the club's facilities and took aim at then-boss Erik ten Hag. United promptly terminated his contract, clearing the path for his move to Al-Nassr, where he remains today.
Ronaldo's revelations sparked divided opinions amongst supporters. Some United faithful praised his candour, arguing the club needed to confront some uncomfortable realities.

Others, however, condemned what they perceived as a childish tantrum from a player whose sentimental homecoming had disappointed. Liverpool, and especially Slot, will be crossing their fingers that Salah doesn't accept Morgan's proposition.
At the moment, a resolution seems far-fetched, but it's not entirely out of the question. However, any more public outbursts from the 33-year-old, particularly towards someone as high-profile as Morgan, could spell the end of his time at Anfield.
The Reds also have to weigh up the potential impact on the rest of the team. Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson Becker has confessed: "This is not a situation that makes us happy, first and foremost because on a personal level we all love Mo.
"He is a hugely important player for the team, he is a wonderful human being, he is a spectacular footballer and has been very important for the club."

He continued: "We were a little bit caught by surprise [by Salah's comments] but we know it is a personal situation, so we are leaving it between him and the club. What we believe does not come into things.
"What we want is for him and the club to reach an agreement in the best interests of him and the club and all of the playing staff. I hope he plays again for the club. That's a personal situation between Mo and the club.
"We as his team-mates and his friends, we hope the best thing happens for him, but as Liverpool FC players we want the best for the club as well. We want a win-win situation for everyone."
