‘Trains hard all the time’ – Player becomes fitness fanatic after Manchester United exit

Rasmus Højlund scored a brace for Napoli against Juventus at the weekend.

The goals took the Dane’s tally to six in all competitions since arriving from Manchester United. Napoli are firmly in the Serie A title race, and the Champions League qualification needed to trigger a purchase obligation looks very likely.

Il Mattino – relayed by CalcioNapoli1926, take a close look at the 22-year-old’s fitness regime and how hard he is working. There’s a belief Højlund has worked hard on his fitness since arriving from Manchester United and it’s paying off.

The gym at Napoli’s Castel Volturno training ground is said to have become Højlund’s second home now. He’s a strong presence’ there and the newspaper state he ‘trains hard all the time’.

Højlund has been putting extra emphasis on rest, diet cryotherapy and red light therapy.

Napoli’s obligation to buy the player will be triggered when they qualify for the Champions League. That objective is clearly on track and it looks like Manchester United will be getting their €40m+, with everyone happy with how things have worked out.
