Wolves 1–4 Man United: Player Ratings As Bellegarde Shines In Another Dismal Night

Always Wolves

Always Wolves

Nick Parkes share his Wolves player ratings from the 4–1 defeat to Manchester United.

Sam Johnstone 6.5

Despite conceding 4, he is one of the limited few who had any positives from this game. Made some crucial saves early on to keep Wolves in the game. Possibly could have done better for United’s first goal.

Ki-jana Hoever – 5

Fell asleep early on to allow Dalot to run through, put in a few excellent crosses, including one to set up the goal.

Toti – 4

Far too slow to react to situations and rightly subbed off. Amad had the beating of him most times. Made a great goal-line clearance to keep Wolves in the game at 1–0.

Emmanuel Agbadou – 4

Started fairly strongly but should have stopped Fernandes’ first goal, too weak. Very poor second half, too slow to react to danger, and allowed United players to walk into our box with ease.

Yerson Mosquera – 4

Similar to Agbadou, a very poor second half, caught blindsided for United’s second goal, and continued to allow United’s attackers to have free rein of our box. Every defensive header he made went straight to a Man U player.

Moller Wolfe – 6

Pick of the defenders, but more for his attacking threat. A decent assist for our goal and tried hard to cause Man U issues down the wing.

Andre – 4

His mistake for the first goal deserved a rating of 1, but he did get into the game, made several good interceptions to break up play, but he seemed to miss Joao Gomes a lot.

Ladislav Krejci – 4

Mount had the key to the city, and Krejci could merely follow. No lack of hard work, but run ragged by a superior Man U midfield.

Jhon Arias – 1

A truly awful performance (not the only one), but offered next to nothing all game. Lack of quality, spatial awareness, and strength. At the moment not cut out for the Prem and was more of a hindrance to the team last night. Cheered off the pitch sums up the consensus with Arias.

Jean Ricner Bellegarde – 8 MOTM

The only player to come out of the game with any credit. A willing runner who caused United a lot of issues. He hunted for the ball back and took his chance extremely well just before half-time to draw us level at 1-1. Very unlikely that his loose touch created the chance for United’s second, also considering he got injured because of it. A double blow for Wolves, and the game was over as soon as he went off the pitch. Great individual performance in a shocking team performance.

Strand Larsen – 1

An empty shirt, as simple as that. Offered nothing and gave nothing, woeful touches, shocking in possession, and didn’t hold up one ball. Being cheered off the pitch tells you all you need to know. Shocking, and not for the first time this season.

SUBS

Fer Lopez – 5

Came on when Wolves had, in theory, lost the game but tried hard, looked to get on the ball, and did his best.

Matheus Mane – 4

More minutes for the youngster, but clearly out of his depth. No lack of effort though.
