Alejandro Garnacho is not the most popular player at Manchester United right now, and the fans were quick to react after his latest game for Chelsea.
Despite effectively making it “Chelsea or nothing” in the summer transfer window, Alejandro Garnacho has found it difficult to carve out a starting place at the club.
He has mainly been used as an impact sub, not even coming on during Chelsea’s game at Old Trafford when he would have been itching to make an impact.
He did come off the bench against Atalanta, though, in a 2-1 loss, and Man Utd fans took plenty of interest in one particular moment that sums him up as a player.

He came on in the 67th minute and failed to energise the team, as Atalanta’s winner was scored with him on the pitch.
He had just 15 touches of the ball, shooting twice, and generally being MIA in defence as he didn’t manage a single defensive contribution.

Garnacho showed the usual frustrating parts of his game as he put his head down and ran into blind alleys, with none of his crosses finding the target either.
Ultimately, it was an extremely frustrating outing for the player, a day after he had said he had no regrets about the manner of his departure from United.
United fans weren’t going to let this performance slide, especially after those comments.
Man Utd fans on Garnacho’s latest performance
United fans have latched onto any bad performance by the Argentine and let him know that he had things so much better at Old Trafford, if only because he received regular first-team football.
This game against Atalanta wasn’t any different, and the player’s performance gave the fans plenty of reasons to do so again.

“Man Utd sold their best winger,” claimed one fan sarcastically, referencing Chelsea fans’ comments after he signed for the club.
“Our former pain is now theirs,” said another, having been regularly subjected to the “Alejandro Garnacho experience” with only flashes of brilliance while he was at United.
“Get ready for him to start hogging the ball just to do a stepover before blasting it into the side netting, it’s his specialty”, said a third.
A fourth fan had a hilarious take, writing, “Garnacho’s shadow scares him, that’s why he runs nonstop,” as a fifth said, “Garnacho did a good job today of giving the Atalanta goalie catching practice.”
Another fan pointed out a moment where Garnacho dribbled straight outside without being pressured, to which a United fan replied, “Does everything at 100MPH, so rushed.”
Finally, a fan summed up the sentiment, referencing Garnacho’s “no regret” comment by saying, “Someone tell Garnacho that we [Man Utd fan] have no regrets either.”
