Man City remain interested in signing Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, according to reports in France.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Etihad since the end of last season, and L’Equipe claim the Cityzens “have not given up” on the idea of securing his services.
Akliouche has also been on the radar of other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal.

However, it does look as if a transfer to City in January or next summer is the most likely possibility at the moment.
Monaco are expected to demand a high fee for Akliouche
The Frenchman still has the best part of two and a half years left on his contract, so the chances of City snapping him up for a low price are pretty slim.
When rumours of a move away from Monaco first emerged earlier this year, it was claimed that Akliouche was valued between €70m (£61m) and €80m (£70m).
You would have to say, though, that his asking price is not really reflected by his end product. He has averaged a goal or assist every 2.9 games during his senior career so far, and considering how much he would cost, you would be hoping for a better ratio than that.
The Man City target has been mentored by a Premier League great
Thierry Henry is a former Monaco player, as well as an Arsenal legend, and he took Akliouche under his wing when he named him in his squad for the Olympics last year.
Speaking about his relationship with Henry, Akliouche said he appreciates being able to talk to someone who possesses so much knowledge of the game:
“Both on and off the pitch, he gives me a lot of advice. Thanks to his experience as a player and coach, his words are gold. You have to pay attention to them. When he says something to you, you pay attention because he never says just anything.”
“He’s also aware that young players need more attention and advice, so he helps us a lot. It’s important to have that help.”
