After scoring twice and assisting once in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Wolves this week, Bruno Fernandes sits at the top of the Premier League assist charts.
Recently, Fernandes overtook Paul Scholes for the number of Premier League assists for United, and he is showing no signs of slowing down despite dropping into a deeper midfield role.

Not only was Fernandes named Man of the Match against Wolves by United supporters, but he also made it into Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week.
To capitalise on his brilliant week, Fernandes has now also been voted for a Premier League award.

Bruno Fernandes named Premier League Player of the Week
At the start of December, Fernandes was named Player of the Week in the Premier League for gameweek 13 after leading United’s comeback against Crystal Palace to win 2-1.
Now, after helping United to a dominant win over Wolves, Fernandes has replicated his feat and won the Premier League Player of the Week for gameweek 15.

As per the Premier League, Fernandes completely dominated the poll with 50% of votes. Manchester City’s Rayan Cherki ranked second with just 14% of votes.
It was Fernandes’ second Player of the Week award this season. United teammates Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire have also won the award in 2025/26.
Bruno Fernandes matches Moises Caicedo feat
Fernandes is dominating the Premier League this season, and he has become just the second player to win two Player of the Week awards in 25/26, alongside Moises Caicedo.
United missed out on Caicedo when he was priced at just £4.5 million in 2021. Instead, he made a move to Brighton and then completed a record-breaking £115m move to Chelsea.
At Stamford Bridge, Caicedo has grown to become a Premier League star, who is now among the best midfielders in the division alongside Fernandes.
Fernandes now has the opportunity to become the first Premier League star to win three Player of the Week awards this season – in the form he is in, he shouldn’t be ruled out.
