Omar Berrada, Ruben Amorim and Jason Wilcox must all unite on same Man Utd 'final decision,' only one outcome is right…

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, director of football Jason Wilcox and chief executive officer Omar Berrada must see eye to eye on a major proposal.

If the aforementioned influential Red Devils trio can’t find a common consensus on the matter, then the dissent from Manchester United fans will be felt in full force.

Ruben Amorim has shared a close relationship with Jason Wilcox since the latter ascended to the role of director of football at United under the Ineos regime.

Wilcox first arrived at Old Trafford as a technical director before shifting roles amid a shake-up at the club involving the likes of Sir Dave Brailsford and Dan Ashworth.

Omar Berrada, much like United director of football Wilcox, has also become a central front-facing figure of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe-led organisation at the Red Devils.

Ruben Amorim, Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox have incredible power over Kobbie Mainoo’s Man Utd future

According to The Daily Mail, a whopping ‘12 clubs’ have shown interest in taking Kobbie Mainoo away from Old Trafford on loan in the 2026 January window.

Mainoo lost his place in the United starting XI under Amorim and the Stockport-born talent reportedly pushed for a move away from the club back in the summer.

However, United blocked Mainoo’s exit before the summer transfer window closed and the 20-year-old Red Devils midfielder remained at United for the season so far.

Napoli have been linked with Mainoo and the Daily Mail has reported that the ‘framework’ of a deal that United rejected from the Serie A club is still on the table.

Jason Wilcox, Omar Berrada and Ruben Amorim all know what to do with Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo’s Man Utd future

The Mail has claimed that United would want to ‘sign a replacement’ for Kobbie Mainoo if they choose to follow through on the Napoli approach from the summer.

However, the ‘final decision’ on the future of the England international is in the firm hands of director of football Jason Wilcox, CEO Omar Berrada and Amorim.

Amorim has previously suggested that Mainoo could remain at Old Trafford for the rest of the season and could even block an exit from the Red Devils in January.

Mainoo might be starved of United first-team minutes this season, but his exit in January would stoke the flames in a direction that the club does not need right now.

The Red Devils midfielder recently impressed in his cameo appearance from the bench on Monday evening, with Mainoo catching United fans’ eye against Wolves.

The United youth academy prospect is a fan favourite among the Old Trafford faithful and his exit could be incredibly contentious during the season.

With Wilcox, Berrada and Amorim all having the final say on Mainoo’s future, the safest – and wisest – decision is to not reignite Napoli’s proposal for the player.
