Jason Wilcox will likely have a busy January transfer window for Manchester United, with a lot of potential business to do.
There will be incomings and outgoings at Old Trafford in January, with a new midfielder potentially being brought in to reinforce a position that hasn’t been good enough this season.
Manchester United could spend big on the midfield, reports have suggested, while there will also be lots of loan action with Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee potentially in line for a move.
One current United loanee is set for big decisions to be made over his future in January, and his latest performance is a clear statement.

Harry Amass shines for Sheffield Wednesday in defence
Heading toward January, the future of Harry Amass is among the most discussed at United. Due to his impressive Championship form, Amass is attracting loan interest from the Premier League, while United are keen to lock him down to a new contract.
However, Sheffield Wednesday remain keen to keep Amass, with United sending him there in the first place to learn defensive qualities and grow the physical side of his game.
Now, his latest performance has been completely dominant in that regard.

Wednesday faced Watford, and Amass started in his usual left-wing-back position, completely dominating the opposition.
Amass completed the 90 minutes with 57 touches of the ball, but more impressive was his defensive output. 17 defensive contributions, nine tackles, six clearances and 14 duels won show the improvements Amass has made this season.
Manchester United have a big decision to make over Amass
Amass has just gotten better and better at Wednesday on loan, and January will be decision time for United, with several options on the table.
Ideally, Wednesday wants to keep Amass, and this would probably be the safest option out there for United to take, and reevaluate the youngster in the summer.
But the 18-year-old’s dominance defensively suggests he might actually be better suited at a club where he can develop offensively instead, with director of football Jason Wilcox having something to think about over this.
For this reason, United and Wilcox should be considering alternative offers if they are at the top end of the Championship, where Amass can play in a team dominating possession and attacking often.
It will be easy to find a club who want Amass considering his performances, but United must make the right call.
