Chelsea owners BlueCo have beaten off competition from Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Burkina Faso prospect Mohamed Zongo.
As Daily Mail Sport revealed, Chelsea had emerged as favourites for the 16-year-old's signature following his performances at the U17 World Cup in Qatar last month.
He will join Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg initially with the prospect of moving to Stamford Bridge further down the line if he continues to develop at his current rate.

Zongo hails from the Tenakourou Academy and has also drawn attention from the likes of Villarreal and Anderlecht. A left-footed attacking midfielder, Zongo is athletic, strong and a good all-rounder.
Chelsea have a deal in place for 16-year-old centre back Deinner Ordonez from Independiente Del Valle and have agreed to sign Sao Paulo right back Angelo Candido, 17, who is expected to join Strasbourg initially once he turns 18.
They are also following Gremio's 17-year-old centre back Luis Eduardo.
