Manchester United welcome struggling Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Monday night.
The Red Devils endured a torrid start to the Premier League season, but have shown some improvement in recent weeks.
Ruben Amorim appears to have eased some of the pressure on him, with two wins in United’s last three league games moving them up to sixth in the top flight standings.
Ahead of Monday evening’s game, it has been revealed that an Italian side are currently leading the race to sign a Manchester United player.
As per TEAMtalk, Serie A giants Roma have emerged as frontrunners to sign United striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The report claims that the Italian outfit have been in direct contact with the Red Devils in relation to a move for the Dutchman, who has struggled since arriving in England.
Zirkzee, 24, joined United from Italian side Bologna in the summer of 2024 but has since struggled in front of goal, scoring just eight goals in 58 matches across all competitions.

He was linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the summer, but ultimately stayed put and has started just three league games so far this term.
It appears that he could soon be on his way out of Manchester, though, with the report suggesting that Roma are keen to sign the forward in January.
It is claimed that the Italian side are hoping to send Evan Ferguson – who is currently on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion – back to the south coast when the transfer window reopens.
Roma will then need to add another forward to their ranks, and it is claimed that Netherlands international Zirkzee is their top transfer target.
The report suggests that United could be willing to accept an offer in the region of £30-35 million for the Dutchman, although they would also confider an initial loan move with an obligation-to-buy clause.
