Patrick Dorgu tells Man Utd fans all players have felt biggest change that Ruben Amorim has made in his reign

Patrick Dorgu believes that there is one major difference with how Manchester United are now playing under Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 Premier League season.

The 21-year-old Danish wing-back arrived at Old Trafford back in the January window, with Manchester United signing him from Serie A outfit Lecce.

United paid an initial fee of £25m, including agreeing to a further £4.1m in add-ons, to bring Patrick Dorgu to the Premier League club during the 2024-25 campaign.

Dorgu has been criticised by Ruben Amorim this season over his lack of consistency when it comes to playing for United and his time with the Denmark national team.

The Denmark defender has struggled to hold a consistent position in the United XI and is currently facing competition from Diogo Dalot for the left wing-back role.

“I think we play more as a team now,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

United’s form has been inconsistent this season and the Red Devils have dropped valuable points in recent weeks, including drawing two of their last five matches.

However, Amorim’s men are sixth in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are only one point outside of the top four after United’s 4-1 win over Wolves.

Dorgu has admitted another big change for United has been how the players have come much closer together both on the pitch and off it in the current season.

“I think it’s both [on the pitch and off it],” he added.

“We’re more together this season than when I came in the beginning.

“The pre-season was good too, to integrate everybody and bond the team and obviously the few results we had before the international break helped us as well to get that team spirit in.

“I think we bonded well off the pitch too, so that’s good.”

Following United’s result over Wolves on Monday evening, the Red Devils are back in Premier League action on 15th December against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
