Harry Maguire says he'd completely change VAR and use it for just two things going forwards

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been on both sides of some controversial VAR decisions.

There was no VAR in use that day, although the FA Cup introduced new VAR rules after Maguire’s controversial goal.

Mark Clattenburg says Aaron Wan-Bissaka should have been SENT OFF!

“The challenge was reckless and because he slides in from behind, this is a simple second yellow card and a one which should then have been punished with a red card.”

But there are also plenty of decisions that have gone against the former United captain. Back in 2021, Maguire hit out at VAR decisions and the way that Jurgen Klopp’s comments appeared to influence referees.

When asked about his thoughts on VAR, Maguire’s answer was clear.

Man United negatively impacted by VAR

Every team in the Premier League has had moments where VAR has benefited them or gone against them, although every fanbase will argue it’s the latter.
