Manchester United’s Diego León continue to feature in the Paraguayan press. Speaking to journalist Ramiro Aranda, his agent Renato Bittar addressed recent speculation about a possible move to Nice and clarified how the club and the player view the situation.
Bittar dismissed the idea that the player’s path has taken an unexpected turn. He explained that people had linked to Nice, but insisted that León is “living exactly what we planned”.
According to the agent, internal expectations remain aligned with the player’s current stage of development at Old Trafford.
The representative also made it clear that a loan in January is not guaranteed. Bittar said they do not know yet whether Manchester United will choose that route and stressed that interrupting the current season “would not be ideal”, especially considering the progress León has shown.
Journalists in Paraguay continue to highlight the minutes he is collecting with the Under-21 side, which Bittar describes as “positive” for his evolution. The view from his camp is that the 19-year-old has taken important steps since arriving in England and that this gradual build-up is part of a long-term plan.
For now, León remains within Manchester United’s structure, benefiting from regular involvement in the academy setup, training with senior players and keeping himself in contention for opportunities later in the season.
What comes next will depend on the club’s assessment, but his representatives insist that his development is on schedule.
