One weak point for Manchester United this season is the left wing-back position, and now a potential solution is being considered.
For Ruben Amorim, there will be two positions of high importance to strengthen in 2026, with the midfield priority number one, and a close second place will be left wing-back.
Diogo Dalot has grown into the position lately; however, he is still far from ideal in the wing-back role of this system.
On the right side, Amad is perfect for United’s 3-4-2-1 system, and Manchester United would ideally want to replicate his attacking quality on the left.
Now, an exciting choice for this has been linked.

Angulo is a winger by trade; however, his qualities make him a strong option for United as a wing-back.
Ranked against other full-backs in Europe’s leagues ranked 6th to 20th, Angulo comes out in the 99th percentile for tackles won, also shot-creating actions, take-ons and progressive carries.
Being so good in both aspects of what the wing-back role entails means Angulo is perfect for the Red Devils and Amorim’s system.
