Manchester United's part owner Jim Ratcliffe hiked ticket prices and dramatically cut staffing in a bid to stabilize costs at a time when the club was under-performing on the pitch.

Manchester United PLC’s losses continued, despite part owner Jim Ratcliffe’s drastic cost cutting at the Premier League club.
The Premier League club posted losses of £6.6 million ($8.8 million) for the three months to Sept. 30, while revenues dropped 2% to £140.3 million, attributed to their absence from European competition this season following a disappointing 2024-25 campaign.
