Manchester United are stronger with Casemiro in the team, and that has always been evident when the Red Devils have faced Bournemouth.
Even though Casemiro is 33 years old, the midfield veteran remains a key player for Manchester United and Brazil.
Ruben Amorim initially overlooked Casemiro after becoming United’s head coach in November 2024, but he’s now one of the first names in the starting line-up despite uncertainty over his future.
United are understood to be hesitant to give Casemiro a new deal unless he takes a significant salary cut; therefore, he is more than likely set to leave at the end of the season.
That means United need to find a replacement for Casemiro, who is a regular in a double pivot with Bruno Fernandes, keeping Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo out of the team.
Casemiro has played an influential role for United since his 2022 transfer from Real Madrid, even though he’s clearly past his best.

Casemiro is one to watch against Bournemouth
It has been an inconsistent campaign for United, but Amorim’s side has the chance to make it back-to-back wins when they host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday night.

United beat Wolves 4-1 last time out after blowing the bottom-placed side out of the water in the second half.
Casemiro played 78 minutes against Wolves and is expected to play a starting role versus Bournemouth a week later.
It bodes well that Casemiro is available because United have never lost when he’s played against Bournemouth. He missed two defeats, losing 3-0, due to being on the bench or injured.
So, in four games against Bournemouth, Casemiro has won two and drawn as many. He has also scored twice in those games, inspiring two wins during the 2022/23 season which was the last time United beat the Cherries.
