Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo is set to be given extra responsibility in the Cameroon national team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
It has been a decent start to the season for Bryan Mbeumo as he instantly became a key player in Manchester United’s attack.
The 26-year-old has scored seven goals in 16 appearances for United, on top of one assist, but he will soon depart to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
It remains to be seen how United will perform while Mbeumo is out of the team. Amorim has several options to call upon, including Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes if he plays his captain in his preferred role as a number 10.
There may be an opportunity for Shea Lacey to make his debut in the first team, but Amorim has been reluctant to play the youngster thus far.
It hasn’t been confirmed yet whether Mbeumo will be available to take on Bournemouth on Monday night. Other United players set to be involved at AFCON include Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui.
