Andoni Iraola’s side have won 3-0 in December 2023 and December 2024 – and that result would be ideal to help them turn their recent form around.
The Daily Echo previews Monday night’s game.
**Team news**
Iraola will be hoping that Marcos Senesi just had cramps last week and no injury when he was forced off against Chelsea after an excellent performance.

With Veljko Milosavljevic also ruled out through injury, Iraola’s centre back ranks are suffering a little, so he will be hopeful that Senesi is available.
Scottish pair Ryan Christie and Ben Gannon-Doak are also ruled out, while Lewis Cook will serve the final game of his suspension on Monday night.
For Ruben Amorim’s United, Matthijs de Ligt will be out, while Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire are doubts for Monday night.
**Head-to-head**
While the Red Devils have the better historical record in games between the two sides, it is the Cherries who have had the edge under boss Iraola.
In the past four games, Bournemouth have won two, and there have been two draws.
The two wins are the aforementioned 3-0 victories at Old Trafford, both coming in December.

In the first of the two, Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Senesi scored the goals to defeat their hosts, while this time last year saw Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo do the damage.
At home, the sides have played out two draws in the past two campaigns, with United coming from behind in both occasions to stop the Cherries from recording a first-ever league double over the Red Devils.
Last term, that saw Rasmus Hojlund score a stoppage time equaliser after Evanilson was controversially sent off with 20 minutes left to play – with the Cherries successfully appealing that decision the following week.
**Form**
The Cherries were much-improved last weekend as they drew 0-0 with Chelsea – but they have not tasted victory since the end of October.
That saw them beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 at home, but since that game, they have lost four and drawn two to see them drop to 13th in the Premier League.

United, meanwhile, have had solid recent form – across the same six-game period, they have drawn three, won two and lost once, to Everton.
Last time out, they thumped Wolves 4-1 at Molineux to move themselves sixth in the league.
But the table is hugely congested. The Cherries are on 20 points and trail fifth place by just five points, with United also on 25.
A victory on Monday could move Bournemouth up into the top ten once again.
AFC Bournemouth travel to Manchester United on Monday, December 15, kick off at 8pm.
