‘Affordable’ PL star is a ‘new name’ on Ineos’ shortlist as he’s tipped for 2026 transfer

Manchester United have added Tyler Adams to their midfield shortlist as they continue their search for Premier League-proven signings.

Indeed, the Bournemouth star, according to Ben Jacobs (via The United Stand), is a ‘new name’ amongst INEOS’ targets to reinforce Ruben Amorim’s ranks in the middle of the park.

There is a ‘possibility’ he departs the Vitality Stadium next year and, despite being two months away from his 27th birthday and therefore slightly older than the players United usually consider, it’s thought he might be a more ‘affordable’ option.

That’s because United’s alternative targets, such as Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba, could cost well above £100 million if they eventually depart their respective clubs.

Adams has racked up 69 Premier League appearances in his career, 24 of which came during his spell with Leeds United.

The United States international spent just a year at Elland Road before agreeing to join the Cherries on a five-year deal, and he has since played a vital role at the heart of the team.

From now until the end of the campaign, he’ll be focusing on being in his best form and staying fit in the build-up to next year’s World Cup, given America is one of the three host nations and he will have the chance to impress on the biggest stage of all on home soil.

“Man United like Tyler Adams’ character – he’s well-liked by his teammates, and has leadership qualities that are expected to show in the World Cup,” added Jacobs.

Should United choose to wait until the summer window, it’s likely Adams’ prospective arrival would come around the time Casemiro departed – unless the veteran is offered a new short-term deal on reduced terms.
