Mason Mount has many admirers within football, but it has taken a while for Manchester United fans to see the England international at his best.
It has been Mason Mount’s best season since joining Manchester United, because he is finally getting a run of games without any major injury setbacks.
Erik ten Hag, who brought Mount to Old Trafford, never hid his admiration for the England international. The same applied to Ruben Amorim after the Portuguese coach arrived as head coach.
Mount has had horrible luck with injuries since his £55 million transfer from Chelsea in 2023, but he has been able to overcome that by becoming a key player under Amorim this season.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals and registered one assist in 13 matches since the start of the current campaign, although he is no closer to returning to the England national team ahead of the World Cup.

Reason to be wary of Mason Mount’s form
In a recent interview, former United defender Phil Bardsley gave his verdict on Mount’s recent form.
Bardsley made the accurate observation that Mount is a ‘manager’s dream.’
That has been evident in the relationships Mount has shared with not only Amorim, but Ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel during the German’s time at Chelsea.

“Mason Mount’s been absolutely outstanding,” Bardsley told club media.
“It’s great to see him get back to full fitness and playing with that edge and swagger – the reason he’s playing for Manchester United.
“He’s been unfortunate with injuries but he’s coming back into the fold and he’s looked exceptional.
“He’s a manager’s dream. You look at the way he conducts himself, you never hear any noise from outside the football pitch.
“He puts the hard yards in, he’s got quality and can chip in with a goal and an assist. He’s a perfect player to have at a football club who are trying to improve and win things. Someone like him falling into that form is only beneficial for the team and the club.”
Mount is a dream in how he carries out managerial instructions, works hard in every game, and his technical levels are off the scale, allowing him to link up with other attacking players.
