Manchester United ‘all in’ to sign Sunderland player – Chelsea also ‘very serious’, approach made

Manchester United and Chelsea are showing interest in Sunderland’s Noah Sadiki.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who covers the latest on Manchester United and Chelsea for Sky Sport CH.

Sunderland signed the midfielder from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in July, and he made 15 league appearances this season. He’s drawn the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea, and both have decided to step up their pursuit.

The 20-year-old has long been on the Red Devils’ agenda, and they contacted his agent at the start of this season. Ruben Amorim’s side continue to follow him and are interested to secure his services.

Sky Sport CH’s title says Manchester United go ‘all in’ to sign him. Within the report, it’s explained they could shift their focus to Sadiki if Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba ends up being expensive.

Chelsea are also in the battle to sign the Belgium-born DR Congo international. He played the full 90 minutes in Sunderland’s 2-1 win over the Blues in October.

Tavolieri reports Enzo Maresca’s side immediately contacted Sunderland to find out about the fee needed to sign Sadiki. Their direct approach shows they are ‘very serious’ about the player.

Sadiki’s contract lasts until 2030. There’s no mention of Sunderland’s stance on letting him leave, either in January or next summer.

Last month, DR Congo manager Sébastien Desabre urged him to at least finish the season at Sunderland.

These claims are likely fed by the player’s camp, so it’s worth keeping that in mind.
