Report: Man Utd now eyeing Liverpool target who’s ‘one of the best wingers in the world’, he’s…

Manchester United could battle Liverpool in the race for Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola next year, according to reports.

The Old Trafford side are looking to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attacking options further next year and have reportedly identified Barcola as a potential option.

The Frenchman is also believed to be a target for the defending Premier League champions, with Liverpool reportedly looking at the 23-year-old as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Barcola is under contract until June 2028 with PSG, who would reportedly prefer to keep the winger and tie him to a new contract amid interest from England.

According to CaughtOffside, Barcola’s departure from PSG is seen as potentially realistic next year, considering the Frenchman has not managed to establish himself as an automatic starter for PSG under Luis Enrique.

The 23-year-old has competition from Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the wings and is open to departing for more regular opportunities amid admiration from Man United.

Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 and played a key role in their treble-winning campaign last term, scoring 21 goals and providing 21 assists in 64 appearances across all competitions.

The forward, praised as 'one of the best wingers in the world', has made 19 appearances for PSG this term, scoring five goals and providing three assists.

Man United have splashed out significantly on reinforcements up front before the season, welcoming Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for close to £200m.

Ruben Amorim’s side have struggled for consistency in the Premier League lately, winning two of their last six games. They next host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday.

Man United are anticipating a busy turn of the year in terms of transfer activity as they look to potentially bolster their squad with a new midfielder.

According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils could return for Atletico Madrid star Conor Gallagher, who was targeted in the final days of the summer transfer window.

United’s primary midfield targets may prove difficult to attain in January, including Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.

The Red Devils targeted a move for Baleba this summer, but pulled their pursuit after learning of Brighton’s demands, reportedly set at £120m.
